Enhanced and extended HPE SmartMemory features

Hi all,

We have some BL460c Gen10 blades with memory authentication error messages.

Processor 2, DIMM 1 could not be authenticated as genuine HPE SmartMemory. Enhanced and extended HPE SmartMemory features will not be active.

We installed 805351-B21 memories recovered form a DL360 Gen9 server and most of them are authenticated perfectly but some of them are marked as not original.

Could be something related to a generation missmatch? If so, that won't explain why some of them are correctly authenticated.

My intention is continue working with all memories even having this authentication issue so I am searching about these "Enhanced and extended features" won't be enabled but I don't see anything clear about what are the limitations... Could someone clarify what are these features?

HPE DL 360 Gen9 server's Memory (805351-B21) is not compatible with HPE BL460c Gen 10.

Please check the HPE BL 460 Gen10 Spec for more details. Also I have collect some list for you. given below.

Yes i know but then why most of them are authenticated being all equal?

But the most important question for me is what are these "memory performance improvements and enhanced functionality" I am losing with non authenticated memories.

Dear  jtejada

May be rest of other DIMMs with same part no populated or not populated properly. it will create error occationaly also you may suffer for this time to time as those DIMMs are actually not compatable with this particular model. Please replace/remove all DIMMS with spare part no. 805351-B21. Please use recommended spare for improved performance and functionality. you may add more DIMMs with same part no which aerlier installed in to server.
