HP raid Controllers enabled but drives not detected

I'm getting this message using hpacucli in HP ProLiant BL460c G6. Raid controller is already enabled:

[root@csadmin21 ~]# hpacucli

HP Array Configuration Utility CLI 8.35-7.0
Detecting Controllers...Done.
Type "help" for a list of supported commands.
Type "exit" to close the console.

=> ctrl all show config

Smart Array P410i in Slot 0 (Embedded) (sn: 5001438008B0ADE0)

=> ctrl slot=0 create type=ld drives=1I:1:1,1I:1:2 raid=1

Error: Cannot create array. Cannot add physical drive 1I:1:1

=> ctrl all show status

Smart Array P410i in Slot 0 (Embedded)

Controller Status: Not OK
Cache Status: Permanently Disabled
Battery/Capacitor Status: Recharging

=> ctrl slot=0 ld all show

Error: The specified device does not have any logical drives.

=> ctrl slot=0 pd all show

Error: The specified controller does not have any physical drives on it.

Any ideas why i'm getting this error message ?

What kind of HDDs do you have in the BL460?
(I think they're most often shipped with a pair of 146GB SAS drives.)

Re: HP raid Controllers enabled but drives not detected

The Smart array controller, auto configure a RAID, if it find unused disk's only, during post. Unless you interrupt it.

So if you take a server. Put in 2 unused drive, aand power it up, it will create a RAID 1 (1+0).

If you want to check.
Power on server. Whne prompted by the Smart Array controller hit F8.
Select view.

Or boot on a Smart Start CD. Select the maintenance tab.
Open the ACU (Array Configuration Utility).

Re: HP raid Controllers enabled but drives not detected

Currently, we using SAN disk. I noticed that i can see the local drive from OS level ( /dev/cciss/c0d0 ) its just that i can't see it from hpacucli utility. we care using same level of controller firmware 3.0.
