Need replacement Hard Disks Drives for BL460c G1 servers
Michael had a BL460c G1 question:
****************
Have an interesting question from a customer.
They have several BL460G1 servers whose hard drives are starting to go bad. They have tried to buy new ones but have been told that only refurbish exist and they are not allowed to purchase refurb equipment.
The question is:
Will the new 6G 146gb drives work in the older G1 servers. They originally purchased the 146gb 3G SP ENT drive..
Thanks..

John responded:

They should. They only run at 3G and only (and I think even in newer blades) use a single port, but are direct replacements.

Have you tried this? Let us know please.
