Possible to remove P410i from BL460c?
Hi
I'll soon be working on a new c7000 build where all the blades are intended to be diskless (boot from SAN or SD). Unfortunately it looks as though we'll have BL460c G7, rather than BL490c blades (which would have been ideal).
Is it possible to remove the P410i controller board (it looks like it might be: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=uk&taskId=125&prodSeriesId=4194735&prodTypeId=3709945&objectID=c02543333) and, if so, will this cause errors in the OBA?
My motivation is to trim anything unused from the blades for power and component failure reasons.
TIA!
Simon

Re: Possible to remove P410i from BL460c?
Even if you can't physically remove the controller, you can always disable the PCI device from RBSU.
