Power Issue -- OA reports massive power usage

OA is reporting that my single phase power enclosure with 6 psu's installed is using 484332 watts. Also reports that power is switching from OK to DEGRADED and back to OK constantly.
When I pull psu 6 this switching stops at degraded, I have swapped out the single phase power module but this error remains.
The Enclosure and Blades all run fine despite this.

I would be grateful for any help.

Hello Andrew,
Put a good known PSU in the SLOT 6; See how it reacts.

Re: Power Issue -- OA reports massive power usage

What is the Version of the OA?

Disable Dynamic Power Savings Mode, and check still the OA reports same amount of power or not.
After disabling dynamic power savings if you still see the same value, reset the OA once.
It should fix the problem.

There is a New Version of OA 2.20 (29 Apr 2008)

Re: Power Issue -- OA reports massive power usage

I hate to ask but which enclosure are we discussing. The c-class or the p-class with the small form factor power shelf it also has 6 power supplies. If the p-class there was a known issue and the firmware on the PS and the OA need to be updated.

I think it is C-Class enclosure.
I believe it is c7000 right Andrew ?

Re: Power Issue -- OA reports massive power usage

Thanks for the replies Guys
It's a c7000 enclosure

Tried a good psu in slot 6, same error.
Tried disabling dynamic powersaving, same error but stops the switching.
Have pulled all the PSU's one at a time and the high reading varies only slightly.
Pulling slot 6 stops the switching.
Firmware is 2.20, the enclosure is a couple of months old and thankfully its not live as yet.
All the firmware on our other live enclosures were updated to this version and their reading are fine.
Have reset both OA's with no effect.

Has me completely stumped.

Re: Power Issue -- OA reports massive power usage

I have the same Problem today.

It is the Midplane from the c7000 Enclosure.

Changed-> work fine
