SB40c location rules

Pls help to understand!
First HP doc: The full-height server blade always needs to be on the right in relation to the storage blade, and server blades and storage blades always must be paired within the same zone.
Second HP doc speaks: Install the SB40c in any device bay on the lower row of the enclosure (9 through 16). If the SB40c is installed in an odd-numbered bay, install the partner server blade in the adjacent even-numbered bay to the right. If the SB40c is installed in an even-numbered bay, install the partner server blade in the adjacent odd-numbered bay to the left.
So it is correct? Or I do not understand something?
Thanks

Re: SB40c location rules

Both the Doc are correct. First Doc is not Clear.
Go with the Second Doc, it does take care of the Zone.
SB40c should work fine. C7000 is divided into 4 Zones and the Storage blade and its Partner should be in the same Zone.

I,e: bay 9,10 or 11,12 or 13,14 or 15,16.

Note: 10,11 and 12,13 and 14,15 are not valid Combination. That is what the below doc information refer to.....

Re: SB40c location rules

Hm.... Both documents equally treat zones and structure of elements in a zone. But it on a miscellaneous treat placing (location) of the equipment in a zone! For ex: under first document the configuration "full-height server blade in 1/9 bay and SB40c in 10 bay" is incorrect, and on second - is true.

Re: SB40c location rules

"full-height server blade in 1/9 bay and SB40c in 10 bay"
Is correct Combination. It will come under Zone1. which is nothing but If the SB40c is installed in an even-numbered bay (Bay 10), install the partner server blade in the adjacent odd-numbered bay to the left (Bay 1/9).
