I was wondering if it is possible to configure the c7000 blade system enclosure so that it integrates with our SIM server in order for it to be monitored - if so can somebody let me know how or point me in the rite direction?

SolutionHi,
with your SIM installtion you already have a module for blade center integration.
On the OA web interface, under "Users/Authentication", there is a part "SIM integration" - import the SIM certificate, discover the active OA and see the results...
regards
Markus
btw: all this is mentioned in the above linked docs!

Re: SIM agents for c7000 enclosure?
Did you install SIM through the Insight Control DVDs?
BladeSystem Integrated Manager is a plug-in to HSIM and installs automatically with HP SIM
Go to Discovery in SIM and run a search for the active OA IP address.
This will find the Blade Enclosure and you can use the integrated manager.

Re: SIM agents for c7000 enclosure?
Ive done what you suggested however all i see in our SIM console is a green tick under HS, 'i' under VPM, system name, unknown under system type, and an ip address under system address.
when i click on system name it takes me to the system page but doesn't show as much info as the other 'normal' servers (e.g dl360s)
sorry for the trouble...
