Vmware with BL460c G10 issue
I have a BL460c server with VMware ESXi OS, 7.0.3, 22348816. In which I get the following error within the OS.
It has a HP QMH2672 16Gb FC HBA Bladesystem c-Class with firmware 06.02.01 and driver qlnativefc_5.3.1.0-1OEM.703.0.0.18644231
Has something similar happened to anyone else?

Re: Vmware with BL460c G10 issue
Hi @abitos ,
Most common causes for PSOD errors are Hardware changes, driver or firmware updates/downgrades, moving the system might cause loose connection of RAM, disk and the cables etc.
1) On which storage devices you have installed the OS ?
If you installed on any flash/USB devices, it won't work. If installed on the HDD, please check the size of the HDD.
2) Are you getting this Pink screen of death (PSOD) on first reboot after the Esxi installation ?
Yes - better to reinstall the Esxi by selecting the proper disk. No - please work on changes made on hardware such as adding or removing or reseating DIMM, disk etc and firmware update.
3) Are you getting PSOD after any driver or firmware update ?
Yes - that caused the issue, please revert.
4) Did you check the compatibility or support of HDD, OS version on Server ?
No - Any one of the above may be the issue of compatibility. Take action accordingly.
5) Did you try to modify any partition size such as /, dump partition , root partition etc.
Yes- please revert it.
6) HBA driver also may cause the issue. Refer this docuement.
7) It may solve the issue, even by upgrading all the device firmwares using SPP, OS version/patch update.
I hope, my post helped you, if yes, please give 'Kudos' and mark my post as 'Accepted solution.' Please let me know if the issue persists.
Regards,
Shiva_jr
