Windows will not start without manual input after firmware upgrade

Hi,

I have just built a couple of bl465c with Windows 2003 Stnd SP2 32bit. All the way through the build process I was able to reboot without issue. I updated the drivers using PSP v7.91 without issue and then, from within Windows, updated the firmware using Firmware Maintenance CD v7.91.

Since then, after a reboot, the server sits there waiting for a key stroke to select the OS versiosn listed by boot.ini.

I have a timeout of 5 seconds configured in the boot.ini so dont understand why I dont now boot unless I make the relevamt selection. The only way round this I can find is to remove the line redirect=UseBiosSettings from the boot.ini or from within the Bios disable the EMS console.

Has anyone seen this before???

Any ideas on how to get round this much appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Windows will not start without manual input after firmware upgrade

Hello MrPH,

Change the Timeout to 0 Secs in the Boot.ini file. Seems this is a common issue now; I think new ilo firmware 1.43 to be released next week will solve this; if not, wait for version 1.50 until 2nd week Feb(could be a week earlier too).

Regards.
