Re: broadcom 802.11 b/g on zd8410ea
When it does connect does it have a 169.254.x.y IP address?
Start, Run, cmd, OK then type:
ipconfig
and it will tell you.
This is the default IP address range that it uses when it can't find a DHCP server. If you are connecting computer to computer one of them needs to play DHCP server using third party software like:
http://www.tucows.com/preview/265297
or you need to assign static IPs to both.

Re: broadcom 802.11 b/g on zd8410ea
sounds like your laptop is taking a long time getting an ip address assigned to from the router some routers ask on how many computers your are going to have attached to
it and for some reason your laptop has exceeded this, check out your router settings. You can also turn off one of
your computers and see if the laptop attacheds faster if so you have a router issure also check and make sure your cable
is wire right I have seen cables give all kinds of problems and this is one. Where the signal is using another wire to close the ckt. The cable will work but the packets will run real slow or even crash getting data errors. Or total network failure.

keep it simple
