Intermittent slow connections

On some ports the network connection is very slow. This is an intermittent problem. Multiple reboots will solve the problem or moving the connection to a different port solves the problem.
Any ideas what to check?

Check the basic stuff - Switch cables if at all possible to prove it's not as simple as that .

It's diffentily not the cables. It happens on two different switchs and different users.
If I plug into a HUB no problems.
