Multiport wireless LAN w200 won't turn on

Hi- I have a Compaq Evo N610C laptop that came with a wireless LAN W200. There is a green light on the side that used to always be on, and I would get prompted "A wireless connection is available." Now the green light won't come on, and I never get those prompts. I tried installing the latest drivers, but the Compaq Wireless Lan software just says "no wireless network card present." I also tried pressing function-F2 to enable the device but still no luck. Anyone else have this problem? Could it be a hardware problem?

Re: Multiport wireless LAN w200 won't turn on

In addition to the Fn-F2 shortcut command for turning off the wireless adapter, Windows XP has a software control to disable the wireless card. While this fuction is disabables the shourtcut on the keyboard reamins unresponsive...

Re: Multiport wireless LAN w200 won't turn on

Ends up the card was somehow loose. Removing and then replacing the cover on the module fixed it :)
