Tablet PC says no Connection, but works
We have been having various unexplainable problems with a Tablet PC which was purchased late last year. The tablet has been "wiped" and restored several times.
Normally it is used as a wireless device. The signal strength varies from 3 to 5. It would not maintain a wireless network connection for more than a few minutes. I downloaded and installed the Odyssey Client and that seemed to help. Then the problem changed.
Now it says that no connection is available, but connects to the network, internet, etc. fine. The icon has a red "x" in it and when clicked, says that no networks are available.
But it accesses data on network drives, the Internet and Outlook e-mail without a problem.
We can set up a laptop using an 802.11b wireless card at the same location and it works fine.
Could there be a hardware problem with the built-in wireless nic? Help?!?!

Even if you are on the right track, you will get run over if you just sit there. (Will Rogers)
