VMT 5.3.1 & MsSQL 2005 Express
Hi Guys,
I am trying to instal VMT on a XP sp2 box and connect to a remote SQL 2005 Express Instance. I have setup everything correctly (I believe) and still can't connect.
I have tried the Service account setup and also the DB owner user name and still cannot connect, but if I setup a ODBC connector on the same box I can connect without issue.!!!
What am I missing as this is doing my head in! is there any debugging I can turn on at the Installation endpoint?
Fields I am filling out- Example:
Servername: SERVER\INSTANCE (or without instance)
Port Number: 1433
DataBase name: Procurve
Username:\procurve - or - procurve
password: xxxxxxxx
What am I missing? I have tried the variations as above.
TRev.

Re: VMT 5.3.1 & MsSQL 2005 Express
Dont worry, sorted it by Installing SQL Epxress Locally (2005) with the default instances and used Local auth.
Pain, but acceptable configuration.
