WIRELESS NETWORK + VLANS
Hi there,
We are trying to set up a new network over a two floor building. We have one switch (HP 1810G-8) top split the network in two (basement and upstairs), and each branch of the network is connected to an Access Point (HP 530NA). This way we our objective is to have wireless network all over the building.
Our target actually is to have two VLANS on each AP (VLAN1 and VLAN2). This way, we want to give some privileges to one of the VLANS...
SEE THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT FOR TOPOLOGY INFO.
After doing many tests we can't make it work successfully.
We tried "trunking" the connection between switch-firewall and switch-APs. This way we would be able to send/receive data from different VLANs. The configuration has been the next one:
VLAN1 (default): Untagged
VLAN10: Tagged
VLAN20: Tagged
Is this config OK?
We are concerned if the switch 1810G-8 supports the topology that we want to achieve. We mean, would it be possible to achieve what we want whit that switch? Should we get a better one?
We are looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks in advance to eveyrone!

Thanks again!
