IRF Add new Member and how to replace a fault switch
Hi,
1. IRF Add new Member
we want to expand our current IRF Stack with a new member 5
Topology Info ------------------------------------------------------------------------- IRF-Port1 IRF-Port2 MemberID Link neighbor Link neighbor Belong To 1 UP 4 UP 2 cc3e-5f97-9798 4 UP 3 UP 1 cc3e-5f97-9798 3 UP 2 UP 4 cc3e-5f97-9798 2 UP 1 UP 3 cc3e-5f97-9798
The new member has a different firmeware-version as the switches in the IRF stack, could that be a problem? What is the procedure to add a new member in a existing IRF Topolgy?
2. replace a fault switch
What steps are required to replace a faulty switch?
Thank you!

Re: IRF Add new Member and how to replace a fault switch
IRF members must all be part of the same switch family and run the same version of software. Otherwise, they will not be able to be added to the IRF.
