Hi, does anyone knows is there any where we can get the information of the Original Country Manufacturer and Year Manufactured for HPE FlexFabric 5980?

Hi @wkong !

If you don't own the device and want to get a general information where HPE manufactures its devices, you need to contact Sales.

If you already own the device, then the "Original Country Manufacturer" can be obtained from the first two characters of the serial number - CN means China, MY - Malaysia etc. The date probably can be obtained from the S/N, but I do not know the algorithm for these devices, unfortunately. But there is a way - login to the device and there is "display device manuinfo" which will give you the manufactured date:

I do not have the switch to check using the command. I have checked with the local team, I only have the answer of the country of manufaturer is China, same as the answer from you.

About the year of manufacturer, I just took the ealiest release of the quick spec, which is in year 2017: https://h20195.www2.hpe.com/v2/getdocument.aspx?docname=a00029144enw&ver=1.
