%age progress of a RAID Initialization / rebuild

Hi All,

Silly question - how can I view the current percentage through a RAID initialization / rebuild / expand with the ACU in Windows ?

Early versions used to give a lovely progress bar and percentage, but I can't find it anywhere in the new versions...

This is for W2k3 R2, ACU 8.10.1.0.

I've tried the CLI and can't find anything in there either...

Thanks

Alex

Alex,
It's been a while since I've actually had the opportunity to look, but I don't think the ACU will give you this information. The Systems Management Homepage does, if you look at the adapter.

Re: %age progress of a RAID Initialization / rebuild

Hi Tim

Thanks for the reply.

In the SMH I've looked at the RAID 5 logical drive on the controller and the 'Rebuild Percent Complete' just says 'Not Available'.

This is with the 8.15B PSP and the RAID card is using the HP drivers...

Am I looking in the right place or should look somewhere else ?

Thanks

That's the place that I was referring to. It sounds as if you SMH implementation may have some issues. You might want to try updating the machine to the latest PSP. Other than that, I can't think of anywhere else that you can actually receive updates.
