As many TB Command View License
TLU 5TB I have compared to the view command to manage, but I have to expand the Disk Group, and calculated not as the space CV license.
For example if I have 12 disks of 400GB, CV, using it the data of 4800GB for licensing?
If I have 8 400GB disks (3200 GB) and four huge disks of 450 GB (1800GB), I have 5TB raw, with my license 5TB LTU de CV I worth?
Is it raw space? Has the protection of the disk group?
THANK YOU!

Re: As many TB Command View License
Command View LTUs are based on total EVA 'raw disk capacity' and 1 TB = 1024 GB.
"For example if I have 12 disks of 400GB, CV, using it the data of 4800GB for licensing?"
You will need 5TB License.

Yes, with 5 TB LTU it will work.
Keep in mind that 400GB drives are no longer orderable. If this is a new purchase for you, I would select a replacement disk.

Re: As many TB Command View License
consider this is an unlimited CV licence and I think it would be cheaper for you to buy it instead of 1TB licences...

Re: As many TB Command View License
Usually the breaking point for an unlimited LTU for 4400s is 7 TB.
But if you are expanding your EVA it may be clever thinking ahead.
Cheers.

Re: As many TB Command View License
7 TB is to much, the break even is near 3 TB. IMHO there is no need any more to order 1 TB LTUs.

Patrick

Re: As many TB Command View License
Another thing to know is the EVA4400 Starter Kit, comes with hardware PLUS unlimited CV licence at a nice price, may be useful if you plan to expand you capacity that much.
