Booting Win2003R2 from XP20K
I'm having trouble building a Boot from SAN windows 2003 server.
The host is a BL460c G6 using virtual connect.
The HBA is Qlogic QMH2462.
The Storage is XP20K.
When booting the lun can be seen by the HBA.
During the windows install I select and install the Qlogic driver but windows does not see any hard disks.
I can install windows 2008 with out any problems.
I have tried different version of the boot from san driver but all give the same problem.
Any one come across this before?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
D

Re: Booting Win2003R2 from XP20K
Can you tell me how have you configured VC FC?
Also, I would like to know how the FC HBA is configured.
Try using the following driver for FC HBA: for x86
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=3709945&prodSeriesId=1844104&swItem=co-74074-1&prodNameId=1844105&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=8&taskId=135&mode=4&idx=0
for x64:

Re: Booting Win2003R2 from XP20K
Thanks for your replies.
The VC is configured to use VC assigned WWN addresses. The HBA have bios enabled and can see the lun presented from the Array as a disk device.
I have already tried these drivers among aothers.

Can you try to use another CD?
(I am assuming the fact that the Bl460c is at the latest BIOS level)
