Hello,
on all 3 Versions (6, 6.02 and 7) of Command View EVA (EVA4000, XCS 6.100) the service could not start: It stays on "starting", and stop, start and restart are greyed out. Only the properties to manual or disabled for next restart can be changed.
Before, the Microsoft-Hotfixes where installed, but after "deinstalling" them (by using the System-Image-before), same problem. So I would say "no changes occur"!
Any ideas?
Thanks and regards
Rudolf

Re: Command View EVA (6, 6.02 and 7) Service start times out
I am having the same issues after installing the latest batch of hotfixes. I am keen to hear if there is a solution to this.
Peter.

Solution
I ended up trying everything
- un-installed hotfixes
- re-image management server to previous hotfix install
- replaced hba
- replaced fibre cable
The solution in the end was to power cycle the 2 controllers, this was the only thing I could do to get the command view eva service to start. (not the ideal solution but I am lucky enough the system isn't live yet)
I am running command view 7.0 for EVA 4000 HSV200 version 6110

Re: Command View EVA (6, 6.02 and 7) Service start times out
Thank you Peter,
I have disbaled the FC-Ports on the node, and the service is starting, but CV has no accesss to the EVA. Then I have rebooted the Master-Controller due to an outstanding operation -> this solves the issue.
So your tip, rebooting the Controllers would also fixed the problem!
Regards
Rudolf
