D2600 Firmware

I am trying  to update the firmware for a D2600, but I am  not able to see it in Windows under Storages. I do have the .exe file containing the Firmware but I can t execute it cuz of no D2600 beeing present. I can see it in Smart Storage Admin but not in WIndows. I am using a Hp Smart Array P812 RAID controller Card.

Hello,

If the controller is detected in Windows, it should detect the storage box too.

Please check if the firmware of the controller is up-to-date.If not , please update the controller firmware first.

Once done, try to run the .exe file again.

If you are trying to update from a very older version, please try to update in incremental order.

I would suggest updating the firmware of the D2600 offline using the SPP, as that is the recommended approach in case of disk enclosures due to continuous IO operations.
