D8000 IO modules have ethernet ports. What are they for?

I can't find any docs that mention these ethernet ports in the IO modules of D8000 disk enclosures.  If anyone could provide some links to docs, that would be great.

I guess I should've mentioned that I did see that they are labeled "mgmt" and listed as "management ports" in the docs.  I can't find any docs about how to use them, connect to them, what you can do with it, etc.

I cannot find anything either. I guess it is factory use, most other disk enclosure have similar ports (USB, mostly) for setting some internal values.
