E200i ADU report shows drive monitoring off

I have an ml350 with with the e200i smart controller and 3 drives in raid5, configured by a third party. Running the ADU report shows that drive monitoring is off, and an error reading "RIS copy from port...". Should drive monitoring be on, if so, how to turn it on?
