HP Storageworks MSA 30 DB Storage

Hi;

1 )Please send me the guide how to configure the RAID on the HP Storageworks MSA 30 DB .I have 2 x 2 72GB disk.

2 ) Is HP Storageworks MSA 30 DB Storage attached with hardware Auto RAID card ?

HP MSA30 storage must be attached with HP SmartArray 5x & 6x card and you must use HP ACU ( array configure utility ) to control storage.

It may depend on the used OS.
For windows and some others do as suggested.
For hp-ux the procedure is different.

What do you have?

In case of HP-UX you can connect the MSA30 to a "plain" scsi controller and use the disks just like they are (with LVM) or you can install a SmartArray Controller (SA640x) in your system and use this controller to create logical devices (mirror/RAID5 ...).

Do you already have the hardware?
