I have an MDS600 connected to a P812 array controller in a DL385G7
Unfortunately I seem to be struggling to get sufficient performance for my proposed Exchange Deployment.
The MDS600 only has Drawer 1 with any disks deployed, I was wondering if it is still best practice to cable to the Primary I/O modules for both Drawer 1 and Drawer 2 or can two cables be deployed, one to each connector in the Primary I/O module for drawer 1 only and, hopefully, improve performance
TIA
David

Solution
With a Smart Array P812 you're pretty limited on how you can connect to the MDS600 enclosure. You can only use port 1 of the top I/O module on each drawer. Dual-domain or double-bandwidth connections are not supported in this case.

You can move disks to the other drawer and you'll be able to use another cable between Smart Array and disk enclosure.
