MSA 2000i SMU software How to rebuild Raid1

Hello we recently had a failure on our MSA 2000 in our RAID 1 array we have 2x 2TB SAS drives in RAID1 Config, one failed and was under warranty so replacement was fitted but when fitted it never copied back over from the other disk. 

it was all setup before i started by the previous network admin. 

When the new disk fitted it initially failed to initialize but then did after a short time not sure if this had an impact on the duplication process.

is there a way of manually starting the mirroring process from within the software so the RAID1 can be made active again?

What is the status of the new disk? Is it "available"? So you need to make it a spare now.

 on the enclosure screen it shows the new 2TB SAS drive as available, how do i make it a spare?

Look in provisioning, spare management, you will see the disk as a possible spare, set the checkmark and apply.

okay i have made the disk spare, whats next to get the other disk in the RAID1 to start copying over to the new spare disk?

It should start now automatically, check the details screen of the LUN (vdisk - volume).

it says VDISK RCON is that correct?

You should see an increasing %.

cant seem to find a % for it but ill take it as its working what location should it give me a %
