MSA1000 disk firmware
Hi, I have an existing enclosure with seven 72GB 10K drives with the firmware HPB6. I'm now planning to put in seven new drives to fill up the enclosure. However, the new drives come with the firmware HPB2.
Do I need to update the firmware of the existing drives before putting in the new ones? Would the MSA1000 have any problems working with drives of different firmware versions?

Re: MSA1000 disk firmware
Hi,
There are lots of different 72GB 10K drive models out there, each of which have different firmware levels.
You will probably be OK with the firmware as things are...
Cheers,
Rob

Re: MSA1000 disk firmware
Hi Rob,
I will be using the same model of the 10k drives in the MSA. Only the firmware versions are different. Will there be any impact to the performance or any other issues here?
