I've just gotten a new controller from HP to replace the defective one. Upon switching on the new controller the following message was displayed:
HP EVA OCP
COPYRIGHT 2005
This message has been there for one hour now.
Can somebody explain to me what is happening ?
Regards,
Berenger

Re: Replacing with a new HP EVA Controller
Can you explain exactly what you've done so far...
On earlier EVAs (3000 & 5000) when a controller was replaced, you had to remove the program card from the faulty unit and install it into the replacement controller.
I'd expect that you'd have to do a similar procedure on an EVA4000.
Cheers,
Rob

Re: Replacing with a new HP EVA Controller
you can download the eva4000 user manual here :
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01077638/c01077638.pdf
eva controller is not a csr like controller power supply or blower, hence, you may want to call hp to replace the controller for you.

Re: Replacing with a new HP EVA Controller
Thank you very much for your contributions.
The program card is now inserted into the replacement controller. The EVA is now fully operational with redundant controllers.
