I have new MSA1000 with integrated 2/8 SAN switch, connected to servers with FC cables.
without SCSI cable connected, since the servers don't have SCSI/Smartarray.
can i configure the MSA1000 using ACU from one of the server via FC connection ?
if yes, how to make the ACU detect the MSA?
rightnow the only way i know to configure the MSA is using serial cable to the MSA controller.
thx

Solution
You can perfectly configure the MSA through a fiber connection with ACU
You will see a controller in the list of available controllers with the name 'MSA1000' after refreshing the list of controllers.
If you have zoning on your san switch. Make a zoning with a port of the MSA and the fiber controller from the host with ACU insttalled.
