2100 Disk System
Good morning all,
I have a 2110 disk store system that is causing some grief. It appears to be restarting the drives at will. The Power LED that can be seen at http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&objectID=lpg60020&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN is blinking. I've checked the fan and it appears that it is running. Is it probable that I need to replace the power supply or has one got another suggestion.
Thanks,
Conrad

Re: 2100 Disk System
According to the docs blinking means
Malfunction - either a fan is not operating properly or internal voltage is too low
The whole chassis is a single part - consider to replace it.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: 2100 Disk System
Check that FAN again to verify that it circulates enough air and spins freely and there is no spin slow down. That would mean that that the LED blinking is not caused by a flaky fan.
The other indication in the document that that internal voltage is low refers to the voltage on the drive side and the power supply is probably failing.

Re: 2100 Disk System
Hi,
Check the Ac current first, also remove the Disk Station from the server and check weather it's giving the same led.
if it is having dual power supply try it in single power supply, if it is under warranty or AMC log a call with hprc.
Thanks,
Avinash
