CIM Error
I have a Proliant 2500 (E24) with a mirrored set of 4.3Gb. (HS) drives on a Smart2P controller (System Partition & NT4.0 Kernel).
One of the drives (Western Digital WDE 4360S) is showing Yellow in Insight Manager. This is due to a Drive failure logged when the drive was in hour 800 of service. The drive now has 26,730 Hrs. on it and has not had another error since. The drive continually alerts to be replaced even after we have flashed with the latest firmware (OPT. Rompaq 2.62a). This error is in Mass Storage, Not the clearable CIM recovery log. Is there a way to clear the error on this drive??
If it were up to me, I would throw the drive over the back fence, but in this case, client restrictions say use it till it dies! This is not a pressing issue, just a highly annoying one! any help would be appreciated.

Re: CIM Error
There are ways, but they all involve depot service! If the server is in warranty, replace the drive. If not, you can put this drive alone in a different server and run system erase. (this MAY work) . BEST answer is replace it.

Re: CIM Error
Let rephrase "I said there is no way we can clear the errors" and running system erase will not work. Sorry tell support to try again.
