failed disk

One of my server with RAID 5 disk config have a bad disk. I have a similar spare disk that was previously used as a cold 3rd disk on a RAID 1 configured server.

Can I just insert my spare disk to the RAID 5 server and recovery will be automatic?

Hi
If you are using Smart Array controller, it will rebuild array automatically.
