How to get out a production disk and put it again Without Problems

Hi all,

I want to review one label attach phisically to one disk.
Some information:
- The disk is in an external Disk System E
- It is a mirror disk,
- ultra scsi 2, hot plug

How to do to get the disk out about 1 minut and back to the slot again? Without loose data or get administration problems access it.

It could..., split the disk and get out, then merge it. Or I'll need to do a vgchange and deactivate the disk.

NOTE: The disk is working in production know!!

Something happen if I put the disk out and put it in again.
