SolutionBD07255B29 238921-B21 244448-001 72.8GB 10K, Fibre Channel, 40 pin, 1
Disk drive part number used with the Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA).
"It is recommended that this firmware roll be implemented if any of the corrected issues have been observed in your system or as part of any preventive maintenance program."

Also mentioned is "Firmware HP05" was released by drive manufacturer. It lists "Maxtor" for 73.4GB 10K drive but who knows if that is what you have, but unfortunately it says "original release", giving the immpression that there was no HP03 for these drives. From what I have noted, you would have to update these offline, that is on a bench on a STD SCSI controller, and it is not usually reccomended unless you are really having trouble.

Re: Needs a firmware HP05 for BD07255B29 FC disks.
1) Upgrade a single disk drive. You must ungroup it before you can load the firmware.
2) Do a bulk upgrade. This requires downtime of the entire storage array - if something goes wrong, you might be left with up to 240 dead disk drives!

Re: Needs a firmware HP05 for BD07255B29 FC disks.
the firmware is not available for download.
My apologies if I sound like a broken record, but you need to talk to you service provider /HP.
Last time I checked, in Germany for example, even installation partners are not allowed to do disk drive firmware updates.
