SolutionAs per the doc the listed disks(286778-B22 is listed) may exhibit reduced performance or timeout error.Not sure if these were the failure symptoms on the disks @ your site.

Incase you have'nt updated the disk firmware,
the best bet is to boot off the Firmware Cd and update all ROM's since disk ROM update requires the firmware cd.

I do not know what the manufacture of the ones you have are or where you purcahsed them (retail box or bulk delivered), but our experience is with this era of Seagate drive had much higher levels of failure than other eras. I do not know what it is, but it is certainly why they have lowered their Warranty level on the parts.
