I have a SC10 (2 bcc) and have 2-node cluster (a500), but need some help with the SC10 h/w personality settings...
is there someone that can help me out there ?
I can run the IOSCAN -fnc disk on each node, not problem.
once on ONE node, I decide to create a volume group, and mount the file-system, things are going good, not problem.
but, when I mount the file system, things are ok on one-side, that is, the system that I mount the file-sys is OK!, but when I decide to un-mount the file-system, all heck breaks loose.
the umount HANGs!!!, so I then Shutdown the other node, no problem.. then it unmounts on the pirmary-node.
but wait, the SC10 is making Alarm noise..
BEEP, BEEP,
what is going on ?
here's what I see:

Solution
The EMS message indicates a failure of the built in controller to the disk array.
Thats a hardware call pure and simple.
The EMS message should be enough to get them out there.
