Threshold Exceeded status (Func Test n Threshold: Replace Drv)

We get regular Insight Manager warnings to replace drives (from several systems) for the above reason. They seem too frequent to be real faults. I've heard that upgrading the fibre controller firmware helps prevent this. Is this a known problem & fix?
I'm also curious to know what these functional tests (1-3) are.

If you don't have a fix yet - you may want to email support@compaq.com with inspect report, array diags, etc - there may be an issue here with a specific drive rom, or similar, but without the info we're guessing.

It's difficult to get that info from a live server, but I'll get what I can & Email support.
FWIW these are Ultra2 drives in RA4100 units. Mixing with Ultra3 drives seems to make it worse, so we've been replacing like with like. Reseating or moving to another server doesn't help - the drives themselves are flagged as faulty.
Seems like a terrible waste of what are probably good drives. All at Compaq's expense. I'm sure this must be a common problem - I'm surprised Compaq haven't bent over backwards to supply a fix and make us aware, to save themselves a great deal of money. Anyway, will email support.

I have the same problem with RA4200 controller and Insight Manager.
I have made a call to Compaq support in January inclose all configuration on my server, array & disks drives. I have not yet heard anything from support.
