Questions about SAN device agent on Windows OS
(1) For SAN device agent deployment, which one (e.g. CimExtensions or HPConnector) should I install on Windows server?
(2) What is HPConnector for?
(3) What is StoragePlanner for? Is it installed on SAN-attached host? I can find "StoragePlanner" under Utilities of SP4 of HP Storage Essential?
(4) What is the minimal OS Service Pack and patch level of Windows 2000, Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 for SAN device agent?
Thanks.

Re: Questions about SAN device agent on Windows OS
Hi,
For 1 and 2, I don't know what the HPconnector is.
You should install the CimExtensions on you windows hosts.
The StoragePlanner is an Add-On for Visio. You can export the view from System Explorer in SE to an XML file, and by adding the StoragePlanner to your visio config, you can import this into Visio. But it does not retain the position of the objects from System Explorer
For Windows Service-Pack, you should check the support matrix included with the SE CD or Service Pack. There should be an excel list with all supported items.
Regards,
Stephen
