Hi,

Go to: SPOCK Home > Other Hardware > 3PAR > HPE 3PAR OS and Service Processor Upgrade Matrix

This XLS shows the correct path for an Upgrade.

Re: 3par 7200 latest update

And you follow the Full Path?

Upgrade to SP 4.4 MU9
Upgrade to 3.3.1 MU3
Upgrade to SP 5.0.5
Upgrade to SP 5.0.7
Upgrade to SP 5.0.9, then to SP 5.0.9.2
Upgrade to 3.3.1 MU5
Upgrade SP to SP 5.1.1.0

At what stage are you?

My personal Note:
3.3.1 need to mutch RAM and local Disk Space for 7200, I leave all 7200 Systems at 3.3.1 MU6.

And if to take a look in this Table:
SPOCK Home > Software > 3PAR Array Software > Active-Inactive Status of HPE 3PAR OS
You see, that for 7200 3.3.2 MU6 is default and higher as 3.3.1 MU2 is Not recommended.
If you have urgend a need for 3.3.1, you need to check your System from Support before doing the Update.
This is the meaning of the Warning.

Re: 3par 7200 latest update

Go to 3.2.2 MU6 and all Patches.

3.3.1 must be Qualified by Support, because it may be too big for the 7200.

You may bring your System Down if, for example, the local Disk running out of Space during the Update.

However, if you don't have Support for your System, you are not allowed to Download and Update to the newer Firmware/OS.
