3PAR- 7200c not booting up.
Dear Mate,
Facing an issue with 3par-7200C storage, both nodes are not in the cluster and getting below error.
InServ cli% showsysmgr -d
Table of contents(TOC) quorum not reached.
Reason for being unable to automatically start:
Unable to read base TOC from disks to replay powerfail save against
16 disks were available to be examined for TOCs.
Any possibilties for data recovery or need to wipe complete storage ?

Re: 3PAR- 7200c not booting up.
Hello @Dsinghp2002
We might have to update the current TOC on the array for this issue.
- Table of contents (TOC)
Are there any hardware failures on this array? like a node failure, were there power issues at the data center?
There is no need to erase the storage data.
What is the array's OS version?

Re: 3PAR- 7200c not booting up.
Hi Dsinghp,
The message indicates, there is at least a hardware failure in the array (any of the nodes, PDs or cages) and the TOC cannot be determined to start the array. If we rectify the underlying issue, the array can be started (and without data loss).
So need to identify what component actually failed? Did you check for any abnormal LEDs? Are both nodes online (and all green)? How many cages apart from the node cage? Any amber LEDs on any of these cages?

Veeyaarvi

Dear Veeyaarvi,
Thanks for the update. I have not observed any amber led on the array, we have cage0 with the two-node controller only,
Only two alerts are getting. PFB,

Re: 3PAR- 7200c not booting up.
Hi Dsinghp2002
How did the issue started? Did you try a power recycle of the array? How many PDs do we have in the node cage?

Veeyaarvi

Hi Dsinghp2002,
It looks to be, either of node has a pfail partition present. Please reach to support to get this condition cleared if exists.

Re: 3PAR- 7200c not booting up.
Hi Dsinghp2002
It looks this need to be checked and fixed by experts. You can still get support (even remote support) if the array is out of contract with single paymanet.

Re: 3PAR- 7200c not booting up.
Hi Dsinghp2002,
Please follow the below procedure.
OOTB procedure using CLI. HP 3PAR
Connect a laptop via a USB-to-Serial converter.
Use “Putty” to connect to the array, make sure to use 9600 as the baud rate.
1. Login into the node console port.
2. From the 3PAR Console Menu select the following options
3. Select number 1 to run the “Out of the Box Procedure” then type in “Yes” to continue with the procedure.
User would see two nodes listed for 7200 confirm by hitting “c”.
4. Select the country from the list.
5. Type a name for the device and confirm at this point. System would scan for hard drives and provide the number of hard drives being detected.
7. Recommendation for OOTB stress test will be initialized, Press "Y" to accept or "n" to cancel (this will run heavy I/O on the PDs for one hour following 1 hour of chunklet initialization, this entire process will take approximately 2 hours hours.
8. Update network details (IP address, DNS, gateway). Once completed hit “y” to confirm the settings.
The setup process will start, chunklets will be created.
9. Select the spare chunklet algorithms depending on the requirement and proceed further.
10. If there are more than 8 drives used , you will need to have proper licenses
11. Depending on the requirement select "YES" or "no" for CIM API’s.
Regards,
Satish

Re: 3PAR- 7200c not booting up.
Dear Satish,
As per my understanding, for the console menu access, we require the below credential.
username:- console
Password:- cmp43pd (now this password has not worked after the update( version 3.2.2), the Password is now encrypted.)
