3PAR ntp issue
Hello Everyone, I am facing an issue when adding a second IP address of the NTP.
As I have observed the 3PAR(7400) version is a lower one. PFB,
Release version 3.2.1 (MU2)
Patches: P07
Component Name Version
CLI Server 3.2.1 (MU2)
CLI Client 3.2.1
System Manager 3.2.1 (MU2)
Kernel 3.2.1 (MU2)
TPD Kernel Code 3.2.1 (MU2)
No option seeing in command syntax for add option. PFB,
setnet ntp {none|<server_addr>}
While I was trying this option, I awared it will not run
3parstorage cli% setnet ntp -add 10.47.249.3
setnet: Incorrect number of arguments.
SYNTAX
The syntax for the setnet command can be one of the following:
setnet startaddr <old_IP> <new_IP> <new_netmask>|<prefix_len>
setnet startgateway <new_gateway>
setnet finish [-f]
setnet abort
setnet cleargateway [-f]
setnet speed <IP_addr> auto|<mbps> <duplex>
setnet failoverping <IP_addr> {<ping_addr>|none}
setnet ntp {none|<server_addr>}
setnet changenode [<node_ID>]
setnet addaddr <old_IP> <new_IP> {<new_netmask>|<prefix_len>}
setnet removeaddr <old_IP>
setnet dns {none | [-add|-remove] <server_addr>}
setnet disableports {yes|no}
So if you have any soultion and suggetion please let me know.

Re: 3PAR ntp issue
Hi Dsinghp2002,
Your version of the HPE 3PAR 7400 Storage OS does not seem to include an option for adding a second IP address for NTP servers.
The option "-add" may be removed in the version running on your HPE 3PAR 7400 Storage.
If you want to change the NTP server IP, use the command "setnet ntp <New NTP Server IP>".
Note: The above command will replace the old NTP Server IP with the new NTP Server IP.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Satish

Re: 3PAR ntp issue
Hi Dsinghp2002,
The option to add ntp server to existing one came in the 3.2.2 version onwards.
