3par Number of blocks in the volume

你好

卷中的块数?

例如日立万塔拉,EMC,HPE XP,存储(创建卷有以下TB,GB,MB,块)我可以看到一个卷包含多少个块,我想知道3par看起来如何

Google Translated:

Hello

Number of blocks in volume?

For example Hitachi Wantara, EMC, HPE XP, Storage (create volume with following TB, GB, MB, blocks) I can see how many blocks a volume contains, I wonder how 3par looks like

Re: 3par Number of blocks in the volume

Hi Oragezxx

HPE 3PAR StoreServ Storage uses a proprietary Logical Block Addressing (LBA) scheme for addressing storage blocks. The LBA scheme maps logical block addresses to physical locations on the storage drives.

When creating a volume on HPE 3PAR StoreServ Storage, the user specifies the capacity of the volume in terms of GB, TB, or other units of storage capacity. The system then automatically calculates the number of blocks required to accommodate the specified capacity based on the block size configured for the system.

HPE 3PAR StoreServ Storage supports configurable block sizes, which can range from 512 bytes to 32KB. The default block size is 16KB. The number of blocks in a volume will depend on the configured block size and the capacity of the volume.

In summary, the number of blocks in a volume on HPE 3PAR StoreServ Storage will depend on the configured block size and the capacity of the volume specified by the user.

Hope this helps.!!

Regards
Mahesh.
