Re: 3par OS Update failed
Hello @paymanzox,
My observations about the failed upgrade are like below. Please verify these checkpoints:
1. SP v4.5 is not the compatible version for 3PAR OS v3.3.1. Compatible SP version is 5.0.x. SP OS v4.5 is the intermediate version if you are upgrading the SP from an earlier version 4.x. Please revisit your procedure document at what stage you must upgrade SP to 5.0.x.
2. Please re-check if you had to select 'simple upgrade'. What is the other option available instead of 'simple upgrade'? Have you made correct selection at this stage as per the standard procedure?
3. OS upgrade failed at 'transfer package' stage. Please check if the file location is correct, is there sufficient space available for the package? have you cleared if there are any existing unwanted packages? Do you find any gap with standard procedure while uploading the package?
Regards,
Srinivas Bhat

Re: 3par OS Update failed
Forget about SP 4.5, it is obsolete.
Use latest SP 5.0.9 instead.
You will also need the toolset OS-4.2.0.21-U040 and a couple of patches for 3.2.2.MU6.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: 3par OS Update failed
I think 3.2.2.612 is an old MU4.
So you need min. P148 & P161 and Update Tool U24.
I personal would go the safe Way: Sp 5.0.9 > U40 > 3.2.2 MU4 + latest Patches > 3.2.2 MU6 +latest Patches > 3.3.1 +latest Patches
If it's Produktiv, better to Call someone how knows the 3PAR Systems (HPE Support).
This Maintenance Update was never allowed for the Customer to do.

What else could I try?
