HPE Storage Integration Pack for VMWARE VCenter

Hi,

      just wondering if there was a way to recover or reset the login password on an HPE Storage Integration Pack for VMWARE VCenter appliance? I believe this customer is running the 10.3 version of the appliance. I had planned to update it to 11 and then 11.1  but the creds are not working. We can plan to re-deploy the appliance but I thought I'd ask first as an in place upgrade would be quicker. I can see the appliance has a challenge response UI like the old LeftHand storage for support accounts so I'm guessing this may be a way forward via HPE support however I'm not sure what you'd log the call against (the storage?) given's its effectively freeware.

Any advice appreciated.

Hello @adamdb_uk,

That must be the vCenter password. You can try to reset/reclaim the vCenter password and use it there.

I think you misunderstand. I was seeking a way to reset the appliance password. That has nothing to do with the account the appliance will use for connecting into the VC. The issue has been resolved now. In the end the customer was able to locate the password.
