I need to purchase an extra NIC for L3000 /rp5470 server running HP-UX 11.11 dedicated to backup purpose.
Do you have any recommendation on a brand/model or there is any specific requirement, eg. size (slot), etc.
Thanks a lot,
Carol

Re: buy extra NIC for L3000 /rp5470 server
Hi Carol,
for backup purpose I recommend use of newer, better performing Gigabit Ethernet cards:
A6825A PCI HP-UX 1000Base-T Gigabit
Ethernet adapter (copper cable, 10/100/1000Mbit speed)
A6847A PCI HP-UX 1000Base-SX Gigabit
Ethernet adapter (fiber optic cable, 1000Mbit speed)
Both cards are supported in rp5470 machine.
