C1099A Console stuck in vt100 mode..no menus

How do I get my console to switch back to HPTERM mode? I am not able to get the menus to make the change. I tried the reset using the d key and power on but it still comes up in vt100.

I've got a dead one right behind me.

They do die once in a while. If reset does not work you are in the market for a new one.

Your laptop with procom can do the job too.

Did you hit just the "d" key, or did you hold did you hit the "Control-D" key combination on power up?
