C6364A Tape Drive

What is the procedure to install a C6364A DDS Tape Drive to a K460 Processor?
Can the drive be powered with 220V AC?
The drive has factory default SCSI address of 3.
The K460 Core I/O module has the Fast/Wide SCSI with nothing connected (only a
terminator). Can the drive be connected to this? Can I expect the device to be
auto-configured when K460 is started? And if not what is required to configure
the proper drivers???

Thanks in advance.

Re: C6364A Tape Drive

I assume u have 10.20 and that the drive is external?

Here begins your problems as the F/W cannot be used, the DDS you have is Single
Ended. The only SE on the K is internally, as u know there is a space for an
internal DDS.

You need 28655A, which is a HP-PB Single High SE SCSI Card. You can then
connect your DDS to this. As far as power I think it's OK what u say, but I'm
no expert on that!

Don't worry about the address, as long as you only have the DDS attached to it.

Once connected just reboot the K and it will rebuild the Kernel with the
drivers when it finds the DDS.

Hope this helps, Paul
