HP 9000 Set-up
and can not figure out how to work it. I do not have manuals or any thing with
it, apparently it was bought and never used.
The main problem that I am having is I can not get any video out of it. I am
not even sure if you can get video support from it, it does have an old EISA
video card in it.
Canm any one enlighten me on this subject or point me in the right direction?
Thank you

Re: HP 9000 Set-up
Thanks for your question. There is a lot of information you left out that is
needed to be able to answer your questions.
The model number or product number of the HP9000 is very important to know how
a terminal or monitor will attach to it.
Please reply with more information about the system.

Re: HP 9000 Set-up
On the machine it has the LAN station address, I have tried networking it with
an NT, UNIX, and Linux machine to try and get an idea of whats going on but no
luck. Any assistance would be of great help.

Re: HP 9000 Set-up
The A3331A is a D210. It can have a normal HP System console connected to the
RS-232 connector on the back. That would be a HP 700/96 terminal connected to
serial port 1. The other option is if it has been set up to have a graphics
system console. In this case it would require an A4077A graphics card and a HP
Monitor, either A43330A or A43331A, and a graphics keyboard connected to the
keyboard connector on the system.
Hope this helps you.

Re: HP 9000 Set-up
280 series. Do i need to get a specific hp monitor and keyboard for this card?
If so i think i'll just go
with exceed by hummingbird. Also, is there a procedure for getting this card
working under hp-ux 11.00.
