Do you know if memory can be added "hot" on a RP7410, or does the server have to be shutdown?

Re: Can Memory be added Dynamically on RP7410
The DIMM's themselves are not "hot-plug" or anything like that. However the cell boards are.
So, technically you can add memory to a rp7410 with the OS running. However, in order to do this you must have two cell boards running on two hard partitions. You can bring down one nPar's OS, power down the cell board, remove it and add the DIMMs. Power on the board again, bring up the nPar and then boot the OS. Do that all again with the other cell board and nPar and you have added memory to the system while the other OS was running.
What may mix all this up is software partitions. I dont know if you can bring down a cell board that is part of a vPar or not.
In other words, more research is needed.

Solution
Hi Tonny;
The answer is no, the design of the RP7410
includes hot swap power supplies, hot plug
PCI I/O cards with OLAR, memory page dealocation, CPU dinamic dealocation and resilience, hot swap fans and hot swap disk drives.
You must shutdown your system if want to add
memory or CPUs !!!.
Best Regards
Alexander Santamaria
